Screen recordings and dashcam logs
Use a screen recording to show what appeared on screen; use driving logs to investigate control behavior.
| Type | Records | Main use |
|---|---|---|
| Screen recording | HUD, warnings and display changes | Show what the screen looked like |
| Dashcam driving log | Road video and vehicle/control data | Analyze braking, steering or warnings |
Start a screen recording
- Before driving, open Carrot Web's Drive screen.
- Press Record.
- Confirm REC appears on the navigation button.
- Once parked, press Record again to stop.
- Open Logs → Screen recordings, play the saved file and download it.
The Screen recordings tab lists saved files. Start and stop recording on the Drive screen. Confirm REC and the resulting file rather than relying only on having pressed the button.
Make the recording useful
- Remember the event time and write it down after parking.
- Copy the exact warning text.
- Distinguish actual vehicle behavior from display behavior.
- Prepare driving logs from the same time for an analysis request.
A screen recording alone cannot reveal all sensor inputs and control requests. Use the log sharing procedure too.
Manage files
Verify playback after downloading. Bulk video/log deletion is a separate tool action; do not run it before downloading or sending the required material. Preparing this guide did not delete user-device recordings or logs.
